Target trash can ” 是俄勒冈大学产品设计课程的一个项目。在那个高级工作室课程中，Yiming（人名）被要求设计一款具有功能可供性的家居用品。Yiming 发现人们喜欢像投篮一样扔垃圾，这是一种很强的功能可供性。“Target trash can” 由一个锥形主体、中间的一根杆状支架以及杆顶部附着的一个红色球组成。Yiming 选择主体大部分使用白色，而球的部分使用红色，白色和红色形成了非常强烈的对比。人们很容易被中间的红色吸引，并下意识地将纸瞄准红色球。“Target trash can” 是由金属制成的，金属板卷成锥形，焊接并处理边缘。杆可以拧在底部，让用户可以选择放置垃圾袋。

Target trash can is a product design class project for the University of Oregon. During that senior studio class, Yiming was asked to design a home good with an affordance, Yiming found that people like to throw trash like shoot basketball which is a strong affordance. Target trash is made of a cone shape body alone with a rod stand in the center and attached a red ball on the top of the rod. Yiming chose to use white color for the most part but the red color for the ball part, white and red make a really strong contrast. People will easily get cached by the red color in the center and subconsciously aim the paper to the red ball. Target trash can was made out of metal, a metal sheet rolled to a cone shape and weld and finish the edge. Rod can screw on the bottom with giving the user a choice to put their trash bag.
